Research shows

This one day course is for all secondary school education professionals, particularly SENCOs and Staff with responsibility for inclusion, pastoral care, PSHE & Citizenship.
- Address beliefs and attitudes around appearance and disfigurement
- Assess and boost self-esteem and social confidence
- Tackle appearance related ostracism and bullying
- Prepare all pupils for living positively in our increasingly inclusive society
Tap into extensively researched and evaluated approaches which replace well-intentioned, but ineffective interventions, and can massively improve pupils’ experiences and achievements at school.
Changing Faces isthe leading charity working with and on behalf of people of all ages, and their families, affected by disfigurement, however caused. Combining wide-ranging research findings with extensive case-work, training and consultancy in schools, we can provides practical and effective expertise in these challenging specialist areas.

Courses for primary school teachers and early years workers will be held in March and June 2009 in London. Courses can be run locally by arrangement.
